The Happy Berry
The Blue Ridge escarpment offers a wealth of things to do. Visit our web site and hit the vacation button to get a smattering of what is availble. Of course picking you own berries at half and sometimes a lot less than half the price of the big box store is part of it. The farm is picturesque and offers the opportunity to support the concepts of healthy plants, healthy people and healthy planet. The grass is clipped, there is free water, picnic tables, and chance to teach your kids where food comes from. The farm is located on the historic Keowee Trail that lead from Fort Prince George and beyond up into the Blue Ridge mountains to Charles town (Charleston, SC). In Its "hay day" as much as 200,000 deer hides made it down the trail. It is possible that the Battle of Gap Hill occurred on the farm where the Swamp Fox rescued Andrew Pickens the namesake of County. Tours and production disscussions are availble by prior arrangement for a fee. We love to talk about what we do and just hanging around the porch where all the sales take place you can learn a lot. Please come dressed for the weather. Shoes are required. We have been in business since 1979. We do participate in several local farmers markets in Greenville, Pickens, Pendleton and Anderson. We also provide berries ta a few local roadside stands.
