River Road Farm
Our blackberries are some of the largest and sweetest you will ever find. We practice organic methods. No harmful chemicals or fertilizers used.
|
Blackberries
Our domestic, "thornless" blackberries are great for eating, cooking or freezing.
If you like the old fashioned thorny berries, we have those too!

Wildflower Honey
Our bees collect pollen in the spring from our blackberries, blueberries and any other blooming flowers in the spring. By June they have made wonderful pure honey, we call "Wildflower". We think it has more flavor and character than our wonderful Sourwood honey we harvest in August.

Sourwood Honey
In July here in the mountains, the sourwood trees begin to bloom. We put new supers on our bee hives and let our bees fill them with very light, sweet sourwood honey. At the end of July collect the nectar from the bees. This very light sourwood honey is a true mountain delicacy. The short season limits our production. So supplies are limited.

Blueberries
We have over a dozen varieties of blueberries. We grow both rabbit-eye and high bush varieties. The early varieties begin producing in mid-June normally and then other varieties fill in so we have berries usually into late August or early September.
Call in advance to be sure.
