Otter Creek Trout Farm
Like many drawn to this area of North Carolina, we came seeking an alternative to the hectic bustle of city life, moving from Chattanooga six years ago to continue operation of an existing trout farm. Devoting himself full-time to this formerly part-time operation has afforded Alex the opportunity to learn hands-on all aspects of the aquaculture industry and to focus on increasing and diversifying our livestock population, proudly making Otter Creek **HOME OF THE JUMBO RAINBOW** providing humanely grown rainbow trout for stocking ponds and streams, offering farm tours, and providing 1/2 mile of stocked stream to anglers by appointment. His devotion to farm life is evident in all that he does, whether community projects, or promoting sustainability; he proudly lives the rural life and wishes to share with others what he has learned. An avid outdoorsman, he wishes to educate others, sharing his promise of sustainable practice and stewardship. Nicole also enjoys life on the trout farm. She is a dedicated ruralist, having grown up on a working poultry farm and she is also involved with several volunteer efforts and community projects. She is also the gardener of the family, maintaining the yearly vegetable patch, growing herbs and cut flowers she uses in making her all-natural signature bath soaps and salts and she also offers accompanying recycled votive candleholders for one-of-a-kind aromatherapy and relaxation gift baskets. Together, Alex and Nicole maintain Otter Creek's day-to-day operations and invite you to experience life on a working farm with a trout tour or spend the day fishing and relaxing in the natural non-rushed environment. Call ahead to schedule your trout tour or angling experience.
