RITES OF PASSAGE RETREATS
BARBARA HOLCOMB LANGE, B.F.A., The College of William & Mary, has been taking small groups to sacred sites around the world since 1991. Barbara is an artist, writer, teacher and spiritual traveler, living in the mountains of North Carolina. She has been teaching and facilitating spiritual and creative arts classes and workshops for 28 years. Her goals in offering Rites of Passage Retreats are to honor the milestones in life at sacred sites on Mother Earth and, through creative arts and ceremony to celebrate the Self and Spirit and our journey on this planet. Barbara's visionary artwork, Wings of Light, are personal and multi-dimensional portraits resulting from hand and body tracings. Her artwork is in private collections and in galleries around the world. Barbara also offers mandala and herbal tarot readings, in addition to one-on-one spiritual counseling sessions. She leads classes in art and writing and opens her home each month to Sunday Afternoon by the River, a creative arts salon with music, meditation and featured speakers. Barbara's travels have taken her around the United States and to Peru, Mexico, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Spain, Bali, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Nepal, England, Scotland, Egypt, Brazil, Greece, Morocco, the Bahamas and throughout the Caribbean. She also holds retreats in the mountains of North Carolina, in Sedona, Arizona, with the dolphins in Florida and on Edisto Island, South Carolina. Her love of travel and exploring spiritual sites and the people who live in these places has been a guiding force in her life since 1991.
