LaMottery
LaMottery is pottery and other clay-work made by Kathy LaMotte. She enjoys making pieces with soul, but also with good engineering. For example, each mug has a lid for steeping tea, and a small "mickey notch" in the foot, so that it will drain properly in the dishwasher. Both mugs and handles are of generous (what's the word -- heroic?) size for use by thirsty people with big hands. Kathy has absolutely no credentials. She has a 20+year-old BS in Mathematics, and spent years working in human services. She is a Quaker, a vegetarian, a pacifist, has no television, cuts her own hair and enjoys tutoring incarcerated youth. You decide.
