Yellow Branch Cheese

Yellow Branch Cheese is made on Yellow Branch Farm, which is located in far western North Carolina near Fontana Lake. The artisan cheeses are made by hand from the milk of a small herd of jersey cows. Bruce DeGroot and Karen Mickler began cheese making after acquiring a milk cow to further their goals of producing their food and live from the land in a sustainable way.

It is equally suitable as a dessert cheese and pairs well with fresh or dried fruit. It melts wonderfully and can be grated when chilled. Price: $11.75
Yellow Branch Pepper Cheese Award-winning Yellow Branch Pepper Cheese is made with jalapeno peppers organically grown in the vegetable garden and ripened to bright red if possible. The flavor is a spicey sweet pepper flavor rather than fiery hot. Price: $12.25
